What is College Fair Registry?
College Fair Registry is a community for colleges, high schools and organizations to bridge the gap that exists between admission offices when planning recruitment travel is allowed.  High schools and organizations can promote college fairs & events they are hosting.  In addition, high schools can post their school profile and college rep visit policy. Colleges have access to search these fairs and visit policies to plan & coordinate their travel recruitment. Colleges can register for fairs directly on College Fair Registry, and manage their travel calendar. High Schools and organizations can manage their fair attendees.

Who uses College Fair Registry?
Currently, over 200 colleges, 8,000 high schools and 150 organizations are using College Fair Registry to plan student recruitment.

Why should I use College Fair Registry?
College Fair Registry makes possible what was limiting with snail mail and email. Now there is one centralized resource for admission offices to use when planning travel. For high schools and organizations, this is a cost effective way to save on postage and paper, while reaching a broader spectrum of colleges across the country and abroad.

How can I help spread the word about College Fair Registry?

Word of mouth is the best way to encourage others to join. The following flyers can also be shared with high schools, colleges and organizations. If you want hard copies mailed to your office, just send us an email and we will get them right out to you.

How do I create an account?
Creating an account is simple. Sign up, select to register as a college, high school or organization and create a user profile. Only one registration per college, high school or organization. Once registered, you will be able to post fairs and (if college) search our databases. When signing up for fairs, Colleges will be able to register specific college reps and manage fair lists & calendars for the entire staff or by individual counselor.

What are the browser system requirements?

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 and higher
  • Firefox 10 and higher
  • Safari 5.1 and higher
  • Chrome 15 and higher

College Fair Registry requires the use of JavaScript. Some high-security utilities and firewalls disable JavaScript. Either re-enable JavaScript or temporarily disable the utility while working with Caspio Bridge. Keep in mind that College Fair Registry is secure and SSL compliant, so all account activity and data transfer is encrypted.

Is there a membership fee?
Organizations and High Schools can register for FREE and post unlimited fairs and events. In addition, there is no fee for High Schools to use the online visit scheduler. Colleges pay an annual fee (valid July 1 – June 30) of $250 that grants access to our searchable databases that include College Fairs & Events, and High School Visit Policies & Scheduler.

How do I pay my membership fee?
To expedite your membership pay by credit card or if by paying by check, submit a copy of your purchase order.

How many events/fairs can I post?
You can post unlimited fairs & events. However, if you have multiple events, you must submit an event registration for each. If you have a long list, you can always email your events to us and we can add them to your profile to save time.

Can I keep track of colleges that will be attending my college fair?
Under Manage My Fair Attendees, you can view a list of colleges that have registered through College Fair Registry for your fair. You can also keep track of other colleges that plan to attend your fair by adding their information. You can export a list to Excel of all your fair participants.

Is my high school/college information private?
College Fair Registry does NOT sell or share any information to outside sources. Only members of College Fair Registry can view contact information to coordinate and schedule visits or college fairs.

Why don’t I see a high school listed on College Fair Registry I am looking for?
High schools must register with College Fair Registry to post their information. We do not post fairs or high school visits on our own. This is a collaborative website and members must join to utilize the resources available. If a school you are looking for is not listed, they have not yet joined. Send College Fair Registry an email and we will personally reach out to the school to have them added.

Why don’t I see an event listed I know is taking place?
The college, high school or organization hosting the event must post their event in order for you to view it. We do not post fairs or high school visits on our own. This is a collaborative website and members must join to utilize the resources available. If you do not see an event you know is occurring, they have not yet joined. Send College Fair Registry an email and we will personally reach out to the event host to have them added.

How do I make changes to the event I am hosting?
You must login to make any changes to your account. Once logged in, click “Update Events” and make any necessary changes. You can also delete events. Any changes will immediately take effect after clicking “Update” or “Delete”

What if I forgot my password?
Click on the “I forgot my password” link on the login screen to have your password sent to the primary account email address.

ADDITIONAL FAQ’S FOR HIGH SCHOOLS

Is there a cost to use the online scheduler for college visits?
No. This is a free tool for school counselors.

Can I create reoccurring appointments?
Yes. You can create reoccurring appointments by day, week or month. You can also add multiple time slot availabilities for each appointment time. Appointment times can be added 180 days in advance.

I want to have full control over who can schedule a visit to my school. Can I make my appointments view-only and book them myself?
Yes. When creating appointments, you will have the option of allowing College Fair Registry members to directly schedule online with your school (public access) or View Only (colleges will need to call or email to schedule and you will have to add them to your online calendar.)

What if a college that is not part of College Fair Registry wants to schedule an appointment through the online scheduler?
You can add any college manually to an available appointment slot.  They will receive the same confirmation emails as members.

How do I search for college fairs?
There are many ways to search for an event. You can search by State, City, County or Country. Leave the default of “ANY” if you want to see everything in a specific region; however, a maximum of 250 fairs or visits results will show at a time. In addition, you can perform a distance search. Enter the zip code where you will be and select the distance in miles to get a radial search of events around you.

How do I search High School Visit Policies?
There are many ways to search High School visit policies. You can search by Policy, State, City, County or Country. Leave the default of “ANY” if you want to see everything in a specific region; however, a maximum of 250 fairs or visits results will show at a time. In addition, you can perform a distance search. Enter the zip code where you will be and select the distance in miles to get a radial search of events around you.

How can I register for a college fair?
As a member, you can login to your account, and search for fairs using the Upcoming Fair Search directory. Once you find a fair you are interested in, simply detail in and click “Register” at the bottom of the screen. You can specify the counselor attending, so that you will be able to manage your individual fair list online.

How do I schedule a high school visit?
Search “High School Visit Policies” to view a high school’s profile. If a high school has created an online schedule for college visit times, you will see a link to view their calendar on the bottom of the profile. If a high school has an available appointment you will be instructed to either book the appointment directly online through College Fair Registry or call/email if the school has made their calendar view-only. If the high school has not created an online calendar, the contact information for the counselor will be listed along with their detailed visit policy so that you can contact them directly.

A college fair I saw is no longer listed. Why?
College Fair Registry only lists events in the future. If the date has passed, the event will no longer be listed. In addition, schools or organizations can make changes or delete events at anytime.

Can a college join to post a fair, but not use the search feature?
Yes, you can join as an organization for no cost. However, you will only be able to post fairs and manage fair attendees. You will need to upgrade your account if you wish to access the High School Visit Policy and Upcoming Fairs databases.
